Going for a hike!

We decided to take advantage of those "cool" mornings under 100 degrees (actually its been really nice most mornings) to get outside! I have been DYING to spend time outdoors, so this week alone I've really done something every morning (including riding my bike to school!). Today, our Thursday playgroup went on a hike (a mile) at McKinney Falls, and the kids really had a blast. There was a limestone grotto which served as a good place for a snack. My one tactical error was to bring my hiking poles, which turned out to be a huge problem for Louis and Wilder, who both constantly wanted to carry them. They were far outpaced by their peer, Miles (Esme's little brother), who was the trail blazer. The girls were next, pretending many things, including to be sharks.
