Above you'll see Rosemary and her mom, hanging out at the Ritz, Dana Point. We had a fun time at James's conference lounging at the pool , going to the beach, watching the carp, eating fish tacos. Rosemary lately has been trying to pull herself up on tables, chairs. She thinks its funny. She also has a voracious appetite for tiny pieces of bread.

Today's the day!

Well, Rosemary has been working TIRELESSLY all weekend on crawling. She has been really wearing herself out, grunting, crying, and then taking three hour naps. But today, a week before her eight month birthday, she has finally figured out how to move forward to grab that tasty shoelace. Xiaolum is completely freaked out.

Happy Fourth of July!

Rosemary celebrated by eating grass and making her first forward moves -- she's been desperately trying to lift up (and she can do a full-on push up) -- but today was the first time she actually moved forward. She wanted to put my shoe lace in her mouth -- apparently, that was the right level of incentive. She also went to a barbecue on Manhattan Beach in her sailor suit. It was a patriotic day, overall.
