February has turned out to be a great month. Its been really relaxing (see Rosemary above curling up in Xiaolum's bed), without too much going on, which is a change for us. At 15 months, Rosemary's primary word still is "fish" (not, "mama" or "dada" yet, just fish). We're starting to really settle into our new place, and Rosemary has learned to help us with the "gardening" (and for once in her life, Mina has decided to take on the challenge too.) So far, it must be said there has been little success, as the strawberries we planted with "Grandma Orange" -- Rosemary's new name for Suzan, in honor of the fact that her primary job -- to feed Rosemary clementines -- have yet to bear fruit. But we have hope. We have also managed a few other outdoor projects, including building a bench and a sandbox (see Rosemary below sitting in the bench box and reading). She's REALLY into her books. And Dev & Summer are in New York, so we got to play with Cromwell, the only dog that
lets Rosemary anywhere near him.

Just got back from a two-day mini vacation near Big Bear. We had a grand time snowshoeing and eating stew (see below). Rosemary really was excited about the whole thing, as was Xiaolum. He didn't even seem to mind that we woke up every morning to the sound of an African lion roaring! (Our neighbor, apparently is an exotic animal trainer for movies)...
