Peach-Leung Visit!

In October we had a wonderful visit from Dolly, Felix and their kids. I hadn't seen Dolly in a year (and what year, we both had second babies and I moved twice!) and it was probably the longest we had gone without seeing each other since we became friends when we were in junior high. It was so wonderful to see her, and meet Eli, and see how great she and Felix are doing and handling everything. Sadie is an adorable, sweet FUNNY kid (a born actress) and Eli is easygoing. My favorite part was seeing how well Rosemary and Sadie got along -- until later in the week when Rosemary was overtired and everyone was getting steadily sick. Oh yeah, we ALL got sick when we combined kid germs from Texas with kid germs from Utah, and stayed sick for a long time, BUT who remembers that now?

And I guess, I lied: it was great to see Sadie and Rosemary get along but my FAVORITE part was when all the kids were asleep and we grown ups could stay up and drink wine. And seeing how happy Dolly and Felix are. Parenting suits them.

Waiting to go on the "bat boat" to see the bat colony emerge from under the Congress Street bridge:

McKinney Falls State Park -- a little wading action (the babies LOVED it):

Bathing beauties (compare this to the blog post of the bathing beauties of December 2008. Aww :-()

A great family photo! Thanks to me!

Dolly actually witnessed Louis's very first step -- with the assistance of the above broom.

Our two little princesses (the funniest thing to me was not that Sadie was so into princess but that DOLLY was really into princesses -- she literally teared up when we played the Cinderella soundtrack in the car on the way back from McKinney falls. Dolly, by the way, sings beautifully just like Cinderella -- I've always thought so). Sadie fit into the Indian princess costume my parents brought back from India two years ago!
