A perfect day

Today was a big, big day. We were out with Rosemary for 8 hours. If you had told her parents that they could take her out for 8 hours a month ago, they would have laughed. If you had told them even a week ago that she could stay in the car for an hour and a half, they would have called you a liar (even so, you still have to sit next to her and either stick the pacifier in her mouth forceably, distract her with toys, or sing "The Ants Go Marching In" endlessly). But today, we took her to Artesia to "Little India" to her first Indian meal (yummy papri chaat). She was pretty good but hated the bhangra drumming. Then we went on a long hike in beautiful Crystal Cove State park, where she stayed awake for most of the hike, and afterwards for a visit to the beach, where she saw her first dolphins!
