Before/After

These photos were taken just before James and I packed away the final boxes and we moved out for two and a half months....As you can see, the house is quite dark and there are lots of walls that get in the way of photographing!
And these are AFTER. As you can see, we completely changed the kitchen by knocking out the wall between the kitchen and dining room and extending, moving the dining room to our "second" living room (behind the fireplace room divider), adding a large ridge skylight in the kitchen and 2 more windows, adding two skylights to the dining room. We also redid the floors (now wide-plank "rustic" grade hickory) making them uniform throughout and added saltillo floors in the bedrooms. Obviously we had new cabinets/counters and added the Cuban tiles on the walls (after days of agonizing over colors and pattern -- its really tough as you can choose from hundreds of patterns and colors). I don't have a good photo yet of the outdoor patio extension and tiling + addition of the pergola+ tree lighting (and the FINISHED treehouse), but that will come soon.
